PHAR LAP ILL
Famous Horse’s Career May Be Closed OPINION OF TRAINER By Telegreph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. April 26, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, April 26. Racing circles are much interested in the announcement that the mighty i?har Lap, which is grazing at Bacchus Marsh, is indisposed and refuses to eat; In fact, is in a bad way. His trainer, Woodcock, is of opinion that it is quite possible that Phar Lap will not be seen in action again. He is certainly likely to be an absentee from the spring carnivals. The horse is a wreck of his former self.
