WEEK-END WEATHER
Mainly Fine in Wellington The weather in Wellington on Friday was fine in the morning, but in the afternoon a southerly squall came up, nnd the remainder of the day was wet. The weather cleared during the night, and Saturday and Sunday were fine. Except for occasional light showers yesterdav morning, the weather at Auckland was fine since Thursday, but the sky at times was dull and threatening. The wind was light south-west. The barometer was steady at 30.00 in. The weather over the week-end at Christchurch was fine but cool. On Friday there was a cold southerly breeze, too keen for comfort. Saturday was bright and windless, and yesterday was fine but overcast. The barometer was steady at SO.lOin. Fine and mild weather with a light breeze from the north-east prevailed in Dunedin on Saturday. • The maximum temperature was 56 degrees. The barometer fell during the day. the reading on Saturday evening being 2f).Ssin. Yesterday was cold, but fine. The barometer was rising, the reading last evening being 29.90 in.
