Mrs. Earl Riddiford is staying with Mrs. Shand, Day’s Bay. Misses L. and M. Millar, Marton, are spending the Easter holidays at Pelorus Sounds.

Mrs. Edward Riddiford has taken Mrs. lan Johnston’s house, Lower Hutt, for a few months.

Miss Brookie, of Parewanui, Bulls, is spending Easter with Mrs. Lock, Hamilton.

Mrs. von Zedlitz, Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt, will leave on Wednesday for a Visit to Mrs. Maunsell, Masterton. Mrs. Brian S. Bree, Wellington, is at present visiting her brother and sister, Dr. and Miss Marks, at Christchurch. Misses Tin.goy, Burrell Avenue, and ■ their neice, Miss Margaret Pilcher, have motored to Wanganui, where they will spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. lan Mac Ewan, Palmerston North, who arc the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Mac Ewan, Eitzherbert Terrace, will return home to-morrow. Dr. Theodora Easterfield, daughter of Professor and Mrs. Easterfield, Nelson, will leave on Thursday for England by the Tainui. Miss A. Lowrie (Wellington) is spending a short holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lowrie, Davey Street, Tcmuka. Miss E. Hadfield (Craighead Diocesan School), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hadfield, 'Wellington, has gone to Christchurch for the Easter holidays. Miss Yvonne Jaques-Blackmore, Lower Hutt, and Miss Joyce Laurie, Wellington,, are spending Easter at The Chateau, Tongariro. Mrs. F. Stopford, Napier, Miss Rosa Tripp, Wai-iti Road, and the Misses Pinckney, Glcnaray, Southland, are spending the Easter holidays at Orari Gorge, Timaru, with Miss Tripp. Many old friends called upon Mrs. W. D. Stewart, Sydney, on Thursday at her sister’s bouse (Miss Sutton), 39 Grant Road. Tea was served and cordial greetings exchanged. The opportunity was also taken of showing some further paintings of Beatrice Harvey, Hawke’s Bay. Mrs. Stewart will remain in Wellington until Wednesday.
