CANADA PROTESTS
Sinking- of Josephine K Washington, March 17. The Canadian Government, through its Legation here, formally protested on Tuesday against the recent sinking of the Canadian vessel., the Josephine K. On January 25 Captain William Cluett, of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, died in the U.S. Marine Hospital at Staten Island of wounds received when the Josephine K., of which he was master, was shelled by a U.S. coastguard cutter. The Josephine K. was registered at Digby, Nova Scotia, and was pursued as a rum-run-ner.
