BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN DAY
Yesterday’s Weather It was a clear, sunny day in Wellington yesterday. A steady wind blew from the north. The night was fine and clear. There was moderate south-westerly weather and cloudy conditions at Auckland yesterday. The barometer was steady last evening at SO.OOin. The weather at Christchurch was sunny and warm with a fresh east-north-east breeze, which veered during the day to west-south-west. Tbe maximum temperature was 76 degrees. The barometer, which fell steadily all day, took a sharp turn upward last evening, and registered 29.85. Following heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon and a dear night the weather was line ami pleasant in Dunedin yesterday morning with a fresh wind from the south-west. After midday the wind was very squally, blowing with gale force at times, and the sky was overcast. 11Umaximum temperature was 6< degrees. The barometer fell during the day, out was steady last evening at 29.60.
