Memorial Tablet to Mrs. Colpus In the presence of a large congregation on Sunday last a memorial tablet was unveiled by Mrs. V. Joliannson In the Sailors' Friend Society. Church to the memory of her mother. The inscription on the tablet read: “In loving memory of M. H. Colpus. 1893-1928. A friend indeed.” Mr. J. Moore, missloncr, spoke of the many nets of love in Mrs. Colpus's work over this long period. Suitable hymns, her favourites, were sung, Mrs. H. G. Good being at the organ. On Tuesday there was n very large attendance at Mrs. M. S. Martin's concert. The nrovision made by the hostess added wonderfully to the comfort of her guests. The prolonged applause led to many encores. The performers were: Mesdames A. Fortune and J. Aplin, Misses Hibberd, M. Martin, Ashenden, and P. Martin, and Masters G. Martin and J. Martin. Mrs. Alfred Fortune was at the pinno. Light refreshments were handed round by the hostess and her helpers. Me, ,T. Moore, missloner. spoke on "Not Wanted on the Voyage.” Pledges were forthcoming.
