En route from Antwerp to New Zealand the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tongariro and the Moor Line motor-ship Vinemoor are reported to have cleared Panama last Friday. Both vessels are bringing basic slag. The Tongariro will unload at Auckland and New Ply. mouth and the Vinemoor at Auckland and Wellington. CABLE STEAMER IRIS. The cable steamer Iris is to sail for Bass Strait from Auckland at mid-day to-day to mend a break in the AustralianTasmanian cable. After the work has been completed the vessel will proceed to Cook Strait to repair two cables between Wellington and the South Island.
