DEATH AT ALTAR
Conclusion of Sermon MINISTER’S COLLAPSE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 15. Just after finishing his sermon at the morning service, Mr. W. Beattie, minister in charge of the Catholic Apostolic Church, Grafton Road, collapsed and died from heart failure. He closed his sermon with the words: “Even so, come Lord Jesus, come quickly,” and was moving from the pulpit toward the altar to commence the creed, when he collapsed. Mr. Beattie had been suffering from heart trouble for some years. He was aged 67 years.
