Meteorological Office, Wellington, Sunday, March 15, 1931, 4 p.m. A depression is crossing New Zealand to-day, while a moderate anti-cyclone covers South-Eastern Australia. . Northerly winds, strong at times in and south of Cook Strait; otherwise moderate. A southerly change is setting in shortly in the south and becoming general within about 24 to 36 hours. Seas rather rough to rough In Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere modMOderate to strong northerly winds, backing later to sonth-westerlies in the eastern Tasman Sea, with rather rough seas. Weather cloudy in most districts with scattered rain gradually developing, but mainly in western districts and the South Island. Temperatures becoming cooler.
