Blay to Meet Thomas The next: tournament of tha Wellington Boxing Association is to be held on March 23, when the principal bout will be between Bobby Blay and Joey Thomas. The reception accorded Blay at the Stadium on Thursday night is sufficient to stamp him as one of the most popular exponents seen in Wellington for years, and bls reappearance will no doubt attract considerable attention. Thomas is expected to make a much better showing than in his first outing. The box plan for preferential booking will open on Wednesday morning, and for general booking on Thursday morning. Blay win make his final appearance in New Zealand on March 31, when he is to meet Allen Whitlow, he having booked to leavp for Sydney by the hfakura on April 7. It is understood that tiie Wellington Association has a contract for his return at a later date.
