Beauty Surgeon Loses Case (Rec. March 13, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, March 12. Prolonged legal action has been closed by the Appeal Court’s reaffirming an award of £l6OO damages to a Paris dressmaker against a surgeon. The woman had a slice taken out erf each calf, considering her legs too fat. Gangrene set in, and it was necessary to amputate a. leg. The court passed strictures on the surgeon and considered that he should have warned the patient of the possible consequences.
