fiord and Lady Baden-Powell, who arrived from Cihrlxtchureh yesterday morning, were guests at Government Hjjuse until their departure for Sydney by the Marama at 3 o’clock. Mrs. W. E. Ridler, Wellington, is a visitor to Christchurch. Lady Bobb and the Hon. Mrs. Peters, England, are staying at the Hermitage, Mount Cook. Mrs. J. R. Glendinning and Miss Mary Glendinning, Dunedin, are staying at the Hotel St. George, Wellington. Lady Roberts, who has been visiting Christchurch, will return to Wellington at the end of the week. Mrs. P. Hodge, Mr. and Mrs. W. Kang, and Mrs. King, Senr., Wellington, are visitors to Rotorua. Mrs. Robert Pope and Miss Eileen Pope are to leave next month for a trip to England. Mr. and Mrs. Eraser will return to Wellington to-day after spending a holiday in Christchurch. Miss ■ Agnes Craig, who since her return from England has been visiting Nelson and Christchurch, has returned to Wellington. Lady C. Young; of London, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara this week and will spend some time touring New Zealand. ■ . Mr. and Mrs. Graichen, who have been tn Christchurch for some time, will Ifehve for Wellington to-day on their way home to England. Dr. Platts-Mills will preside at the annual meeting of the Residential Nursery on Wednesday, March 18, at 3 o’clcok in the Red Cross Hall, 63 Dixon Street. All members, contributors and sympathisers will be welcomed. Jill Hunter, who won the junior swimming championship of Queen Margaret’s College at Te Aro baths, created a school record by gaining 41 points. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hunter, live in Hawera. The marriage took place at the Savoy Chapel, Strand, 'on Saturday, January 81, of Squadron-Leader Charles Roderick Carr, R.A.F., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. : Charles Carr, of Rotorua, New Zealand, and Miss Phyllis Elkington, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Elkington, of Red Lodge, Amersham, Bucking- < hamshire. The Rev. H. Chapman : officiated, assisted by the Rev. C. E. Briggs and the Rev. P. Young. Miss Archibald presided at the recent monthly committee meeting of the Levin ■ Memorial Home. Apologies were received from Miss Greenwood and . Miss Chalmers.
