T., Lang, gave notice of his intention to Introduce a Bill next Tuesday to reduce the rates of interest payable in New South Wales; also to amend the Crown Suits Act of 1912 and certain other Acts. Arbitration Measure. In the debate in the Legislative Assembly on the Arbitration Bill, Mr. Bavin, continuing his attack, declared that the Bill was not so much a measure to settle industrial disputes as one to create a dispute in the Upper House, which was bound to eliminate the more objectionable clauses and thereby enable the Premier to make political capital out of its action.
