Hutt Valley Meeting Given fine weather, the third annual sports meeting of the Hutt Valley Primary Schools’ Amateur Athletics ■ A s B oC * which will take place to-day at the Lower Hutt Recreation Ground, should be a great success. Excellent entries have been received from the following Hutt Talley schools:—Trantham, Upper Hutt, Sliverstream, Taita, Epuni, Ewtern Hutt, Hutt Convent, Hutt Central, Walwhetu, Randwlck. Wilford, Petone Central, Petone Convent, Boulcott, Petone West, and Normandale. ~ , . The grounds are In splendid order and reflect the greatest credit on the custodian, Mr. H. Vagg, who has gone to considerable trouble to provide the youthful athletes with conditions second to none, and fast times should be registered. Excellent arrangements have been made by a committee, comprising Misses J. Swap, A. 0 Donnell, M. Duff, C. Hiddleston, R. Darling, and Messrs. H. Miller, E. D. Harland D. G. Mclvor, P. G. Thompson, and A. Macfarlane. Mr. T. W. Leslie will be the bon. starter, and the gathering will be controlled by Mr. W. J. Melody, assisted by Miss L. F. K. Barton. The proceeds will be handed to the earthquake relief fund.
