CHANGEABLE WIND
Yesterday’s Weather It was sunny in Wellington most of yesterday. The light northerly changed to the south about 3 p.m., and the temperature dropped perceptibly. In the early afternoon the sky clouded a little, but did not become overcast. A few spots of rain fell about 6 p.m. After dark the southerly died. At Christchurch the weather during the morning was somewhat showery, but the afternoon was sunny with a fresh breeze from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 65 degrees. The barometer was rising, the reading last evening being 29.70 in. Very unsettled weather was experienced in Dunedin. There were intermittent showers and occasional periods of sunshine. A moderate gale from the south-west prevailed during the greater part of the day. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. The barometer showed a rising tendency, the reading last evening being 29.65.
