Conditions at Palmerston Palmerston North, February 2. During January rain fell in Palmerston North in measurable quantities on twenty da vs, the total fall, for the month being 6.38 inches, as compared with 4.84 inches for the corresponding month of the previous year. The wettest days were January 11 and 21, on which days 1.28 and 1.11 inches of rain fell respectively. The average temperature for the month was CO 23-31 degrees, while in January, 1930. the average for the month was 58 21-31 degrees.
