A left wind was rather troublesome to the majority of marksmen who fired in the Masterton-Opaki Rifle Club’s shoot over 800 and 900 yards ranges on Saturday afternoon, and a changing light caught a number napping. E. M-. Wrigley was again in good form, and at 800 vards was topscorer with 48. L. Hill and K. McCalmont were next best with 46 and 45 respectively. Conditions were more troublesome at 900 yards, the best scores being 45, returned by McCalmont and Hill. The first place in tile match went to K. McCalmont with a total score with handicap of 92, which was the standard set for the day. L. Hill was next with 91, and H. King third with 90.
