Motor-cyclist Killed
ACCIDENTS ON BRIDGE By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, January 26. As the/result of a collision ou the new Waimakariri bridge last evening, George H. Garbutt, a chemist, of Kaiapoi, was killed. A motor-cycle ridden by Mr. Garbutt and a car driven by Leslie Norman McIntosh, collided. Garbutt and his motorcycle were dragged several yards before the car stopped on colliding with a taxi. Mr. Garbutt was dead when extricated. • . '
No one else was injured. Neither of the ears could be driven away under its own power.
