DROWNED AMID CROWD
Swimming Pool Dragged MAN’S BODY FOUND By Telegraph—Press Association. Hawera, Janjiary 26. The . body of William John Turner Nicholson, aged 30, who disappeared in a crowded swimming pool of the river near the Ohawe beach yesterday, was found about 7 o’clock this morning. The deceased’s son, aged six years, who went with him to the pool yesterday afternoon, told other bathers after some time that bis father had disappeared. Divers searched the pool unsuccessfully. The police, who were notified after several hours, later commenced a search iu the dark, and resumed dragging at daybreak. A diver located the body in ten feet of water. The late Mr. Nicholson, a dairy company’s employee, leaves a wife and two children.
