DOMINION FLOWER SHOW

Splendid entries have been received for the first national flower show to be held In the Town Hall on Thursday and Friday next. - The Wellington and Hutt Valley Horticultural Societies are combining to run the show in the interests of the national bodies that are at present holding their annual conferences in this city. No entries will be received after 12 o’clock on Wednesday. Begonias in pots will be a feature of the show. The Wellington Floral Exchange will occupy the whole front of the stage with a display of its work. The show will be officially opened at 3 p.m. on Thursday by Mr. F. J. Nathan, of Palmerston North, Dominion president of the Institute of Horticulture. Members of the Lower Hutt and the Wellington! Horticultural Societies will be admitted on presentation of membership tickets. Afternoon tea will be provided by the women of the societies, and a first-class orchestra has been engaged.
