Breaking-up Ceremonies

Yesterday was a day of rejoicing for the pupils attending the secondary schools in Wellington, as it marked the beginning of six weeks of freedom. Break-up ceremonies were held by the Wellington Boys’ College, Wellington Girls’ College, Wellington East Girls’ College, St. Patrick’s College, and Wellesley College. The prizes won by the pupils during the year were presented, and occasion was taken to remind the scholars of the debt of gratitude they owed to those who enabled them to become fully equipped for their life’s work.
