EXPERIENCE- OR NOT?
Litigants in Law Reports “You are an experienced litigant, are you not?” asked Mr. H. F. O’Leary of Oscar Albert Jorgensen, architect. oi Palmerston North, in cross-examination in the Supreme Court yesterday. Jorgensen was giving evidence during the hearing of his claim against Thomae Beaumont Dwan, hotel broker, of Wellington, for a sum of £SI7/5/-. Jorgensen said he did not think bi could be called an experienced litigant, and in reply to Mr. Justice Ostler said he had been sued twice and had sued twice.
Mr. O’Leary: You have got into the law reports, have you not? His Honour: Well, I seem to remember that the. name Dwan is in the law reports, too.
