Conference Agreement A conference recently took place between poultry farmers and the Department of Agriculture on the subject of grading or e4s. which has been under consideration fnj the last year or so. The agreement that was reached will be submitted to the Minister shortly, and it is hoped that it will receive his approval at an early date. The agreement, it is hoped, will „ive the consumers better value for their money in the way of an egg guaranteed as to quality, and in grade representing as near as possible value in weight. With the guarantee and grading, the public will re ceive better value, and the producer wil get a better return, for at present it was. stated yesterday, the public is not getting, a fair deal in eggs. The main object k to give the public in the A grade an ave a<-e 2oz. egg, whereas at present first grade eggf vary from 15 to 1 7-Boz. normal weight, and many are below this.
