SOCIALISTS AND LUXURY. Mr. Bert Hoggins (that’s not his real mime) has highly defined socialistic tendencies of his own. Nothing pleases him more than to stand with his back to the fire-talk Socialism, and ask such rhetorical questions as, “‘Why should the poor be poor?” or “. . . the rich lie rich?” etc. A likeable chap for all that. This particular time he was holding forth on riches and luxury. “. . . The downfall of civilisation,” said the orator, waving his pipe in the air. “Look what happened to Rome! Luxury, that did it!” “I say,” broke in a listener, “what tobacco are you smoking?” “Why, I—I,” Mr. Hoggins smiled wanly. “Why, ‘Luxury.’ of course!” Luxury Tobacco is irresistible. Try it yourself.
