COMMITTEE BUSINESS
Ratepayers Critical
“There is too much of the City Council’s business done in committee,’’ de clared the president, Mr. H. H. Miller, at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington City Ratepayers’ Association. This remark was greeted with applause. Proceeding, Mr. Miller said that if the council did not go into committee the ratepayers would have some security with the representatives of the Press present. Of course, there were so;ne matters which should be taken in committee, but questions affecting the ratepayers should be taken in open council.
