“NOT WANTED”
Visiting Motorists
A suggestion that the Wellington Automobile Club should make a substantial contribution to the cost of a site for the establishment of a motorists’ camping ground did not meet with approval at an executive meeting of the club last evening, when a letter from the Wellington City Council was read. “They should not be t encouraged with the thought that we are going to contribute anything toward it,” said the chairman, Mr. E. A. Batt. “Wellington is practically the only place in New Zealand that has no motorists’ camping site. It does not want visiting motorists here and presumably it does not want their money either.”
