RIFLE-SHOOTING

Karori Club At Trentham on Saturday the Karori club fired the. first half of the service shooting consisting of musketry. The shooting was of a high standard and consistent ; only six men failing to reach the qualifying 85. The series was divided into five sections: A, five rounds, application; 200yds., passible 20; B, 5 rounds, grouping 100yds., possible 25; C, 10 rounds rapid, 200yds.; time limit of Msec., .possible 40; D, 5 rounds, snap; 200yds., disc exposed for 4sec. per round, possible 15; and E, 5 rounds application, 300yds., possible 20. Grand possible, 120. Detailed scores are as follow:—

OLD NAVALS CLUB The Old Navals Hille Club fired over the SOO and 900 yards ranges at Trentham on Saturday afternoon. The’ shoot counted for the championship, Hugo Cup, Hodder Cup. and . second series. The best scores at SOO yards were .1. Culling 47, .1. S. Priestley 46, J.. Bell 46, F. Monk and J. I’itt 45 each. At the 900 yards range C. Hugo was top scorer with 45. followed by W. Mcßain 44. F, Monk 44. The best aggregate gun scores were: F. Monk 80, W. Mcßain 86. J. Pitt 86, F, E. Frankiyn aud C.
