Cheese Up Over 11 per cent. Butter-fat production for the four months is up over 6 per cent., compared with the corresponding period of la The SC figures of the Dairy Division of the ■Di.nnrtment of Agriculture show that the salted butter graded for November, 1930, was 12,962 tons, and the unsalted 078 tons, n total of 13,540 tons, compared with 13,570 tons 1 salted and 231 tons unsalted, a total of 13 SOI tons for November of last year a decrease of 1.98 per cent. For the four months ended November 1930, the respective quantities were 34,264 tons and l-~7 tons, a total of 35 491 tons, compared with 33 472 tons and 541 tons, a total of 34,013 tons for the corresponding period of the preceding season —an increase of 4.34 per Ce Tlie cheese graded for November, 1030, comprised: White, 8403 tons; coloured, 3736 tons a total of 12,139 tons, compared with 8049 tons white and 3941 tons coloured, a total of 11,990 tons for November, 1929—an increase of 1.24 per cent. The quantities for the four months ended November, 1930, were • White, 18.534 tons; coloured, 8913 tons, a total of 27,447 tons, compared with 15 827 tons white and 8874 tons coloured, a total of 24.70 L. tons for the corresponding period of the preceding season—an increase of 11.11 per cent. ' Converting these figures into butter-fat equivalent, there is an Increase of 6.09 per cent, in butter-fat production for the four months as compared with the corresponding period of the 1929-30 season. Stocks held in the various grading ports at November 30, 1930, were: Butter, 9788 tons; cheese, 8708 tons, as compared with 6158 tons butter and 6888 tons cheese held on November 30, 1929.
