Imprisonment for Theft. — Charged with stealing £8 at the sailors’ home on December 6, the property of Victor Woolf, Harry Thomas Betts was sentenced to two months gaol in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning, states a Press Asosciation message from Christchurch.

Te Arolia Jubilee Celebrations. — The Te Aroha jubilee celebrations were concluded on Saturday, when a Paddy’s market was held in the main street, affording amusement and helping to defray the jubilee expenses.
