Fate of Fishermen EMPTY BOAT FOUND By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, December 8. The discovery of an overturned boat, yesterday, at the entrance of a creek four miles south of Waipiro Bay township, awakened fears for the safety of three natives, Hamiana Walker, Whare Koko, and Manahera Paurakau, who had gone on a fishing trip in it. It was found later, however, that Walker had decided not to go. Both the missing men are married, with families. A diligent search revealed no further trace. It is surmised that when a stormy southerly sprang up the boat capsised.
