Youth Chased, Caught, Fined

A Chinese boy left his bicycle outside a shop for a few minutes while he went inside. A witness saw Henry Crawford Gault, aged 21, French polisher, take the machine and ride away on it. A constable gave chase and arrested the runaway. When Gault appeared before Mr. T. B. McNeil, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday he admitted having unlawfully converted the bicycle to his own use and was fined £3.
