Hutt Valley Contest The second round of the Hutt Valley banner competition was played on the greens of the five bowling clubs concerned on Saturday. The conditions were perfect, a light southerly wind, and bright sunshine. The I’etone green was a little on the heavy side, while on the Woburn green, which is rather open, the southerly breeze now and again affected the running a little. The Upper Hutt rink, which was due to meet. Central, at Petone, defaulted owing to the illness of the skip, Greig. All other games were played.
