The Appeal of- Christmas
Sir,—May I bring before your many readers the near approach of that Great Christian festival, Christmas Day? Coining at a time when most nations are going through a period of general trade depression and. consequent unemployment, if behoves all who possibly can to give liberally to the appeals that will be made by the Christian Church to bring a little happiness into homes that would otherwise be fat from bright at this festive season. Might I suggest that those employers who engage temporary hands at this time of the year endeavour to retain their services well over Christmas week, as by so doing they will lighten the burden of many a family.—l am, etc., . ANGLICAN. Wellington, December 3.
