NEW AIR LINERS
Provision of Smoke-room Imperial Airways have applied to the Air Minister for permission to allow smoking in their new forty-seater air liners, which are being constructed for use on the Empire airways—London-In-dia-South Africa. Au official stated that a special fireproof smoking saloou to seat twenty people is being provided. “There will also,’’ he added, “be a saloon in each machine with twenty seats for non-smokers and separating them will be a fully-equipped cocktail bar. The first of these new forty-seaters is practically _ completed. We expect that smoking will be a welcome boon to passengers on the long stages of the Empire air routes.”
