FRUIT FINGERS.
When mother makes pastry next time ask her to give you a little which is left over from the pie. Roll it out thinly and cut iu half. Sprinkle castor sugar liberally over one half, then a mixture of currants, sultanas, and chopped candied peel. Put the other half of pastry on top and press the two together with the rolling-pin. Grease a large flat tin and lay the mixture on it. Mark into fingers with a knife, and before putting in the oven to bake brush over with milk to make the top shiny. When golden brown take out of the oven and separate into fingers when cold.
