H.M.S. Diomede on Homeward Voyage.— After an extensive refit at Sheerness, the light cruiser Diomede has left on her voyage to New Zealand. The executive officer of the Diomede is Commander V. A. C. Crutchley, whose gallantry in the blockship, Vindictive, at Ostend, won him the V.C. and D.S.O. Her commander is Captain M. J. C. de Meric. The picture shows the Diomede being towed out of Chatham by a paddle-steamer.
