TO-DAY’S BROADCASTS

Variety from 2YA To 2YA’S programme thia evening the Lyric Male Voice Quartet and Miss Phyllis Leighton will contribute solos and concerted numbers of a light nature, and Messrs. Gibson and Standen will add popular songs. Novelty Instrumental items will be given by Mrs. Mildred Kenny’s guitar orchestra, and the humour of the programme will be provided by Mr. Len Ashton, whose items will Include songs by Handley (England’s leading radio comedian). The salon orchestra will also play. A new radio artist, Mr. Peter Davidson, baritone, Is Included on the programme for this evening from IYA, Auckland. The IYA orchestral octet, under the direction of Mr. Harold Baxter, will provide many interesting items, Including a violin solo by Mr? Baxter. The Nelafu Duo, consisting of Hawaiian and steel guitars, will give a quartet of Hawaiian numbers with vocal refrains. 3YA, Christchurch, has a splendid vaudeville programme arranged for this evening. On the musical side will be Mlbs Hilda Hutt and Mr. Clive Hindis (vocalists). Well-known melodies will issue from Mrs. G. Amer’s acordion. Mr. J. 3. Flewellyn and Mr. G.
