SCHOOL BREAK-UP

Palmerston North Technical Palmerston North.. December 5. The Palmerston North Technical School held its annual break-up ceremony iu tho Opera House to-night, when the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atmore, was the speaker of the evening. The following prizes won during the year were presented by tho Minister:— Miss Colquhoun’s specials: Best scholar In English, first year, Mirlel Hancox; second year, Ngaire Blundell. Miss Vautler's special: Domestic, English and arithmetic, Winifred Cockrell. Art: First year, Mavis Francis; junior, Vida Bycroft; senior, Eileen Revere. Miss Morgan's specials for raffia: Freda Hart, Mona Baldwin. Special for art design: Isabel Young. Book-keeping: First year. Dorothy Clevely; second year, Joyce Ellwood.
