“THE MESSIAH”
The musical event of the month Is the Royal Wellington Choral Union’s performance of “The Messiah,” with .the assistance of the Levin Chornl Society and the Commercial Travellers’ Male Choir, which is to take place in the Town Hall this evening, under the direction of Mr. John Bishop. ~ , . The cast which has been assembled by the Choral Union’s Committee is a remarkably strong one. The principals are as follow:—Soprano. Mrs. Catherine Gobdson; contralto, Miss Peggy Dunbar, of Sydney: tenor, Mr. Harold Prescott, of Christchurch: and baritone, Mr. Wilfred Kershaw’, of Dunedin. The box plan can be inspected at the Bristol, where two shilling tickets are also available till midday. , f
