Mr. Garden’s Machine CONNECTING ROD BREAKS By Telegrapn —Press Association. Dunedin, December 5. A connecting rod on Mr. Oscar Garden’s machine Kia Ora broke just as he ascended yesterday from the Taieri aerodrome. The plane barely cleared a fence, and at 200 feet flattened out. Garden banked sharply, making a skilful landing. The mishap delayed the flight to Invercargill by two hours, and Garden eventually took off in an Otago Aero Club Moth.
