Managers are Indignantly opposing the smoking bun that Ims been placed by the Lord Chamberlain oil London theatres. They declare that they are already inundated with ietetrs from pnti'oiis, urging a vigorous protest. The legitimate theatre already is .suffering from the opposition of talk* ing cinemas where smoking is permitted. The ban will do incalculable harm “because everybody smokes nowadays.
