London, November 80, 111-luck quickly followed the good fortune of Mr. Prescott, the first prize-win-ner of the Irish sweepstake. He was unable to attend at Dublin to receive the cheque as he was attending his father's funeral in London, his father having died suddenly during tile week. Mr. A. P. Dawe, of Vancouver, has not sent word regarding how the second prize should be paid to him. A remittance to Canada presents legal difficulties, ami it is not known whether Dawe intends to come to Ireland to collect his money.
