It was bright and warm at Christchurch, with n strong breeze from the north-west, which clmiiwl in the evening to the south-west. The maximum fem perftture was 72 degrees The barometer which hnd been falling rill dfty. Inter wise the rending in I lie evening being 29.85 Tlie weather was dull mid unsettled in Dunedin vesterdny.' The morning was fine, lint raitr enmmenecd to fall after midday, and there were frequent showers during the afternoon.
