FATALLY INJURED

Captain E. L. Orr-Ewing ON EX-GOVERNOR’S STAFF London, November 25. The death is announced of Captain E. L. Orr-Ewing, M.C., son-in-law of Admiral Sir Jarnos Eergusson, as the result of a football injury. As a member of the staff of tbe ex-Governor-General of New Zealand, Sir Charles Eergusson, Captain Edward Lindsay Orr-Ewing was well known in Wellington and other Dominion centres. He was the son of tbe late Mr. C. L. OrrEwing and Lady Augusta Inskip, and nephew of Lady Alice Eergusson. He was married at Chichester Cathedral on July 15 of this year to Miss Jean Fergus’son, third daughter of Admiral Sir James and Lady Eergusson, and niece of Sir Charles Eergusson. Captain OrrEwing served in the Great War, winning the Military Cross. .He was actually third cousin of his bride, for the grandmother of Sir Charles Eergusson was an aunt of the late Lord Glasgow. MEMORIAL SERVICE A memorial service for the late Captain Orr-Ewing will be held in St. Mark’s Church, Wellington, to-morrow morning. __
