A slight anti-cyclone is pass g the northern extremity of the Dominion, while a rather deep depression is advancing across the South Tasman Sea. Winds moderate and mainly westerly at first, -but veering northerly and f reshenine Seas generally smooth to moderate, but rising in Cook Strait. Freshening northerly winds and smooth to moderate seas in the Eastern Tasman Weather fair at first with rising temperatures, but showers developing later in western districts and the far north and south.
