Track in Good Order INTERESTING GALLOPS Dominion Special Service. Auckland, November 25. The weather was fine at Ellerslie this morning and the track, although not fast, was in good order. No. 1 grass with the flags ten feet out was used for galloping. Land Measure, looking better than ever, ran six furlongs in lmin. 19 3-ssec. The maidens Tui Mint and Traced went nicely over five furlongs in lmin. 6 3-asee. Eager Rose (Cammick) strode over a round in 2min., the last seven in lmin. 37 l-ssec. This mare has only to get the track dry to make a bold showing in the Alison Cup. Gold Lily pleased more than Howick over half a "mile in 52sec. Patutahi beat Dark Prince over a round in 2min. 0 3-ssec, the latter tiring badly at the end. Hampton Park and Great Emblem were not at top over five furlongs in lmin. 9sec. Royal Menu ran three furlongs along the back in 38 2-ssec., and was then eased up. In view of the Feilding meeting, some interesting work was done on the Wanganui tracks this morning. The weather was fine, but the going was dead, especially for early work. Pomp (W. Rayner) and Solange (J. Rayner) put in a round at half pace, then ran five furlongs which they left behind in lmin. 3 4-ssec., finishing together. Pomp, on the did it well. They ran the first three furlongs in 36 2-osec. Pomp is making steady progress. He is to run in the Stakes at Feilding, while Solange will be a starter in the Trial Plate. She is a promising sort of filly. Pedestal and Impetuous were not extended to run half a mile in 52 l-ssec. Impetuous may be a runner at New Plymouth at Christmas in the Juvenile Handicap. Pedestal figures in the Kiwitea Handicap at Feilding. Auctioneer went a couple of circuits at a solid pace. He looks bright and well after his race at Levin. He has been left

in the Kowhai Hack Handicap at Fending. After breakfast Hinewai put in a couple of rounds at half pace. Paratoo was restricted to half pace in putting in a couple of rounds. He looks in great heart and was anxious to increase the pace. Knollmere was galloped on Saturday in company with Arisus, both going well in a spin over five furlongs. This morning the former wr,s given a couple of rounds at half pace. Arisus conceded Onepai some three lengths start in a spin from the six furlong post. Onepai kept the lead till well into the straight, where Arisus drew up and finished slightly in front. The first half-mile was cut out in a shade over OOsec, and the full distance in lmin 18 3-ssec. Queanbeyan and Takahue were companions in a try-out over six furlongs, which they left behind in lmin. 20 1-5 sec. Takahue being slightly in front Queanbeyan has been left in the Trial Plate at Feilding. Korokio was much too good for No Humbug and AH Humbug in a spin over three furlongs. She raced right away from her companions and finished three lengths to the good, going easily in 38 l-ssec. She is to rjin in the Feilding Stakes, and will be ridden by W. H. Jones if he can make the weight (6.1). . Jackplane (Weaston) and Plain Jane (Moran) were given a schooling bout over the hurdles. They both shaped v/ell, jumping five obstacles cleanly and very straight. It was a good display for novices. . Fernden has not been paid up for at Feilding, and may not race again until the weather is more settled and the tracks become firm.
