Wadestown Association There was an excellent attendanme at the annual meeting of the Wadestown and Highland Park Progressive Association last evening, when the following officers veie elected for the ensuing year ’’ '. Patron, Mr. A. Fair, K.C.; president, Mr. A. Parlane; vice-presidents, same as last year with the addition of Messrs. F. T. Clere A. Pegler, find A. R. Stone; hon. secretary, Mr. S. G. Stephenson; treasurer, Mr. E. Cotterill; committee, Messrs. H. 6. Pillar, V. McKeown, N. J. Gardiner, Rus'sell, and Leask; auditor, Mr. G. T. WitlierX resolution was passed urging the City Council to erect conveniences near the tram terminus, while another resolution passed urged the council to carry out improvements to the road between Orchard Street and Moorhouse Street. Mr, R. A. Wright, M.P., chairman of the Works Committee of the City Council, addressed the meeting on various matters of civic Interest.
