BARING HEAD GIFT
Mariners’ Appreciation At its meeting yesterday morning the management committee of the-Merchant Service Guild discussed the transfer of the lighthouse from Pencarrow Head to Baring Head. The following resolution was carried: “That the Wellington Merchant Service Guild write to Mr. Eric Riddiford expressing their thanks and'appreciation for Ins generous gift of land at Baring Head for the new lighthouse site, and for his keen interest in the welfare of the men of the mercantile marine.”
