EARLY MORNING FIRE

Starting apparently in the kitchen or scullery, fire broke out in a six-roomed house situated at 20 The Crescent, Roseneath, shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday. The Central Fire Brigade was called, and it had no difficulty in suppressing it. The kitchen and scullery, with their contents, were damaged by fire, and the remainder of the rooms, with their contents, slightly damaged by heat and smoke. The house, which was owned and occupied by Mr. G. S. Leeder, was insured for £1075 in the Commercial Union office, and the contents for £4OO in the London and Lancashire office.
