DEATH IN STREET
Unknown Man’s Collapse DESCRIPTION BY POLICE A man whose identity is as yet unknown collapsed in Wakefield Street, near the Public Library, about 1.30 yesterday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital in the Free Ambulance, but died before reaching that institution, and later his body was taken to the morgue. A detailed description of the dead man has been supplied by the police, and anyone recognising him from the following details is asked to communicate with the Taranaki Street Police Station:— Age, 50 or 55 years; height, sft. 9in.; dark hair, going grey; bald at temple; grey-blue eyes; big nose; discoloured teeth; one tooth in bottom jaw missing: ginger and grey moustache: thin face; bushy eyebrows; big mole on left shoul-der-blade. The deceased also had a number of tattoo marks —a coat of arms on the ehest, two flags on the inside of the left forearm, a number on the left forearm believed to be 1877. a ring around each wrist, a Statue of Liberty on the inside of the right forearm, a star on the outside of the right forearm. He was dressed in a navy blue suit, a brown felt hat. black boots, and a green knitted tie.
